Friday 8th Sept

Introduction to ArchiCAD Summer School & Friday's programme: 0900-0915

Graphisoft Morning: 0915-1045: Plenary: Graphisoft reveal the next great thing!
ArchiCAD 10.0 was announced to the world at in April 2006, and it is the biggest upgrade in recent memory, and the best tested before release - it is just coming into the UK. Graphisoft also have strong products in the construction world, including Constructor and Estimator and Change Manager and have good collaborations with other software manufacturers. Every year, GS have had something good and new to show. Maxonform is an astounding addition to the ArchiCAD user's system, seen at ACUESS 2005, and now established.

Technical details of some of the products can be discussed close up in some of the later 90 minute "Meet the Team Q&A" sessions with the Graphisoft developer/support team. Where better to discuss your wishlist!

Coffee/Tea: 1045-1115

Plenary: 1115-1300: Migration to ArchiCAD 10: Graphisoft Developer Team
The process of upgrading to a new version but continuing a building project always causes some headaches. The migration issues with AC10 are much greater, especially if you have an advanced model and have already placed many viewsets into a complex Layout Book with varied paper sizes - do you keep them separate or merge into a new AC10 file or stay with 9 a bit longer? How do you migrate a Teamwork project and team to AC10? How do Interactive Schedules copy over? What do you do with existing Printing/Plotting sets in the Publisher? What will you do with project files from the 90's? Can you save files back to AC9? What are Library Container Files?

It's also a chance for tutors to show an extra trick that was enjoyed during the workshops, and for announcements to be made about future events, like the ArchiCAD Winter School.

Saturday Evening

Night out in the Centre! 1800--->

We normally have about 30 people staying overnight for the Saturday night, so we go for a meal and walkabout in Nottingham City Centre. This is a fun experience for the long distance travellers. Nottingham has a vibrant nightlife with the highest concentration of clubs and pubs in the country - it's very safe (but get taxi back to hall after midnight).

We have again booked space at Antibo's the restaurant on Parliament St, and we are booked in for 7pm. Walk to the Wollaton Park Gate bus stop and get the Bus, either 35 or the 36, into town centre. There's one of these about every 10 mins, even on a Saturday to Angel Row. costs £ 1.30 into town or £ 2.50 return. Buses 35 and 36 return from Angel Row 2240, 2300, 2310, 2330, 0005.
