Mieczyslaw Boryslawski

Vice-President and Co-Founder of View By View, Inc.
Mieczyslaw was born in Poland, educated in Europe, Africa and the USA in architecture, film, photography and construction project management.
He holds a degree in Construction Management from the school of architecture, University of Cape Town, South Africa, and was an adjunct professor at the California College of Arts and Crafts, School of Architecture.
For the last 30 years, Mieczyslaw was involved in international architectural competitions on three continents, was a guest speaker on digital architecture at the Smithsonian Institute, Washington DC., Global Engineering Conference, Vancouver, BC. Canada, and the US Green Building Council's international Conference, San Diego, CA.

Together with the world visionary Architect Mr.Frei Otto, was a guest speaker on The Future of Architecture held in Stuttgart, Germany.
In 1992, Boryslawski together with the American Institute Architectural Students, initiated an international student design competition and was selected as one of the jurors. This competition was the first digital architectural competition of its kind in the world. Over thirty-five Architectural Schools from around the world participated.
Mieczyslaw was one of the main sponsors of a five-day conference focusing on the digital technology in an architectural environment held at the Frank Lloyd Wright Institute, Taliesin West, Scottsdale, Arizona.
In 1993 Mieczyslaw organized the very first international digital art exhibition held in San Francisco , co-sponsored by Apple Computer Company Inc ©, Canon USA ©, Kodak © and Adobe Incorporated ©. Over 500 artists from around the world presented their work.
His digital work on the "Greening of the White House" poster printed by Nash Edition is permanently on display at the Old Executive Offi
ce Building, The White House, Washington D.C.

Mieczyslaw together with CREST produced the "Greening of the White House" interactive CD-ROM, an environmental project funded by the department of Energy and published by the American Institute of Architects, Washington DC.
The CD-ROM was demonstrated by the First Lady Mrs. Hillary R.Clinton and premiered on the "Good Morning America" TV show.
Mieczyslaw received an Award of Excellence in the International Competition from The American Society of Architectural Perspectivists and received numerous awards from the American Institute of Architects, San Francisco Chapter.
In 2000 Mieczyslaw was a guess speaker at the opening of the “ The Century of Architects” exhibition at the Bauhaus Museum, Berlin, Germany.
Following week he was the Guess of Honor at the University of St. Petersburg, Russia where he has presented his company’s work.
Mieczyslaw was a visiting professor at the University of Stuttgart working on the reconstruction of the 1500th century church designed by Michelangelo but never built.

Currently, Mieczyslaw is a member of the Letterman Digital Art Center, Project Management Team responsible for the production of the Advanced Building Information Modeling of the LDAC project.

He is an acclaimed pioneer in the field of Advanced Building Information modeling as applied to construction.
Mieczyslaw has travelled through most of this wonderful earth and speaks several languages. His passion is architecture, photography and music.
